The food ain't bad but it is a bit pricey and the older woman who works behind the counter is less than pleasant. I tried to order a couple of dollars worth of extra gyros meat with my platter and she acted like I was asking for something unholy. Talk about customer service

n the beginning, it was great to see a new eating establishment in the hood! However, lately I realized that their prices are too high! I am not sure why everything cost nine dollars or more.

A chicken sandwich with a drink without fries will set you back about eight dollars and forty-five cents! Gyros with fries with a drink about the same. But when you order Gyros plate you are supposed to get more! Not likely because just an order of fries will cost you 2Bucks. Good Lord as Chris Rock would say!

As native of Chicago, you can go to Greek town and spend a fortune on a mediocre dinner. I recommend if have not been there already check out Athenian Room in Lincoln Park or Cross Roads in Evanston you won’t be disappointed!

We have Leona’s, Cleo’s, High Dive, McD, Picante, Wendy’s, Odges, La Pasadita, Harold’s Chicken, Boston’s Beef, and Underdogs, Bob San, Thai Village, Inn joy. Even the crappy bar that used to be known as Borderline now Tavern has better specials. The point is you should get something when you spend $9 Bucks for takeout. They should look at Leona’s model and learn that you can give a little more food and make more on the return when customers come back because of the good food and the servings. You better off going to Nilda’s on Wolcott & Iowa and buying your self 3 or 4 PBR’s!

Greek Corner is truly a great casual neighborhood restaurant. It is a clean place with outstanding food and excellent service by a dedicated owner and his staff. Menu items are delicious, the portions are plentiful, and prices are exceptionally reasonable. It is by far one of the best values in the Ukrainian Village, as well as Chicago entirely. I love the Philly Chicken (or Steak) Sandwich, Grecian Chicken Plate, the salads, and Pastitsio. It also offers a good variety of vegetarian selections. Try it!

I LOVE Greek Corner. We carry-out often, and the food is always very fresh and delicious. Great salads, Grecian chicken, and spinach pie. Yum!
