Cafe Iberico has sharply declined in service over the last five years. On a recent Saturday night, the restaurant was far too crowded, and reservations were piled on top of each other too close. Food was served too quickly and we were being "encouraged" to leave before we were done. Another party was allowed to stand next to our table, and they were clearly waiting for us to leave so they could sit. The server brought the check before we were able to order dessert. The men's washroom had not been cleaned that day, and was out of paper towels. Our server rolled her eyes when I asked her for change for a twenty, and generally acted frustrated with our large party. The food remains excellent, but they need to control the crowd a lot better and keep their restaurant clean.

I used to enjoy the food at Cafe Iberico, but I recently my entire dinner party became ill with food poisoning after eating here. Two ended up in the emergency room. I would avoid eating at Cafe Iberico again.

This place used to be good back in the early 90's, but no more. The food and service totally blow. Some of our favorite tapas are no longer served and the one's that remain just are not the same. The quality of food and drink are truely terrible for the price you pay. The bathrooms are filthy and the atmosphere is no longer fun. I would not waste a dollar on this place again.

In addition to the review I've posted: The atmosphere or Iberico is unpleasant, with stark white tile floors and walls, sticky tables, menus with food stuck in them from previous diners, and bus boys slamming dishes into their tubs at the station. The A/C mustn't have been on either because I felt hot, all of the customers had a sweat-shine on their faces, and the the ice in my sangria melted too quickly. The pork was dry, the french fries aren't any better than at Gene's and Jude's Hotdogs, the paella was mushy with uncleaned shrimp, and that darn eaten olive in my dish is the icing on a wretched evening at Iberico.

I went to Cafe Iberico last night (Sunday), at 4:30PM. Since it was early, there wasn't a line to get in, but the SERVICE and FOOD was HORRIBLE! I ordered the assorted olives dish and there was an eaten pit in the dish. It seems that the staff at Iberico like to reuse food. Also, the mussels and clams tasted and smelled fishy, in other words they weren't fresh, and three of the four mussels on the plate were closed tight, a.k.a. dead. I will never dine at Iberico again.

Want on Sat. 11/04/06 night very long wait, food has no flavor, service was terrible. The waiter brought the food one dish at a time, and just sat on the table to anyone. the plate would come about 10 minutes later. Will never go back. The reviews were wrong. Do Not waste Your Time.

While the food was good, the atmosphere was horrible. We were fortunate to be seated right away since there were only two of us. There were many large groups waiting for a table and they were all standing right next to us and kept bumping into my chair. It felt like we were on display in a zoo the way we were being stared are while we ate. There were also people from the bar area would come over and stand next to our table to talk on their cell phones. I would suggest trying it on a weeknight when it isn’t as busy.

We went on a Sunday and there were no lines and it wasn't very crowded at all. However, the service was pretty slow. It took me fifteen minutes to get my Cafe' Con Leche. I don't function well without Sunday coffee. The food was of a varying degree of quality; the Chorizo y Morcilla was excellent and flavorful as was a marinated grilled goat special. The mushrooms were quite good too. The marinated skewers of beef and chicken were just okay. The Goat Cheese was kinda mediocre, served with an indifferent tomato basil sauce. My newly developed seafood allergy kept me away from a lot of dishes that those dining with me seemed to enjoy. This is more of an after work, place to hang out with friends and co-workers rather than a fine dining experience. It was relatively cheap, the kitchen appeared to be reasonably clean, and the bathrooms were super clean, which is always a good sign. I like Emilio's and Cafe-Ba-Ba-Re-Ba's Tapas a little better on the whole; but for value, Cafe Iberico is well worth a visit.

Great Food! I visited there for my first time on a Friday evening. The bar area was packed - little standing room available. We ordered most of our food while waiting for our guests to show up, then migrated over to the restaurant section later to sit down away from the cold doors. The CROQUETAS DE POLLO (puffs) were outstanding. So was the GAMBAS AL AJILLO (shrimp), ALMEJAS EN SALSA VERDE (clams), and CHORIZO Y MORCILLA (sausage).

This isn't really a place I would go to, but I went along with some friends and totally enjoyed it. Yeah, it's loud, almost rowdy at times and crowded, even on the Thursday we went. Get the home-made sangria at the bar. Much better than what you would get out of a bottle! :)
