Seriously, good luck if you don't have cash on you. They'll yell at you then give you a lecture if you try and use a credit or debit card for even one cent less than their contractually-prohibited minimum.

I also rein from the East Coast, and love authentic NY style pizza. Cafe Luigi is pretty damn close to the real thing. Reasonable prices too. Definatly worth checking out, especially if thin crust pizza is your thing.

This is the best pizza of any kind in Chicago. Further the best in the state of Illinois. It's too bad there are so many people who reside in Chicago and have never lived in other cities. Cafe Luigi is about respect. Show respect to the people who work there and they will show it to you in return.

The pizza is good, if you pick it up at the restaurant. But, if you order delivery, expect about a 2 hour wait time on Tuesday nights. 2 plus hour wait on Friday and Saturday. When your pizza does finally arrive it will be cold, soggy, and taste terrible!!!! You’ll also have the joy of an incredibly rude delivery person that will curse at you if you say anything about the length of time it takes. Overall opinion, this place is overrated and not worth the wait

If you're not interested in Chicago style, it's one of the best pizzas in the city.

Cafe Luigi is the best thin crust in chicago, only one or two places in chi-town that the dough is stiff AND bendable, Luigi is a little heavy on the cheese and taste is moderate plavorful, still chicago has minimal offerings in this REAL PIZZA dept.

I have heard a lot about this pizza place and have wanted to try it. Yesterday I made the trek there from the burbs to try the NYC pizza.
The pizza stunk! It was soggy and without flavor. It is at best a distant (VERY DISTANT) cousin of the supreme NYC pie.
That all said try Gigio's in Niles for a better NYC pizza.

Headiest Pizza ever! Pepperoni Pizza, cooked well done, is my favorite. Their breadsticks are the dankest of the dank, too. They actually have pepperoni inside of the breadsticks...isn't that so awesome and tasty sounding!
