I loved this place. While small, the food was delicious and uncomplicated. The service was good including the perfect wine suggestion. I'm dying to go back for the Cecilia pasta.

Their concept is good. Not too expensive, carefully selected wines, and good food. But their execution is so bad, it ruins the entire experience. First of all, the restaurant is WAY too small. I realize that perhaps this isn’t completely under their control, but a small space just magnifies service problems. Second, the owner?/manager was roaming the joint, but he failed to do his job. He knew about our service issues, but he never said anything, never even acknowledged us. He's missing the point--we were there well over 2 hours for a meal that should have taken no more than 75 minutes. If he can move us out, he can seat more people and make more money. Finally, both the employees and management have to understand that an apology or a comped drink or dessert goes a long way in assuaging customer unhappiness. There's no way I would have written this same review if someone would have just taken responsibility for the problems and maybe bought my wife an $8 glass of wine.
In conclusion, if you're looking to try lots of different wines in one sitting, the tasting portions here are a fairly economical and fun way to do it; but if you want to have a nice meal and not leave frustrated/annoyed/late/dumbfounded--this is not the place. I highly recommend Pizza Rustica on Sheridan as an alternative. The food is better (the pizza is amazing), and it's BYOB. Don’t waste your time with this "enoteca slowa."

This place is great, amazing food, I had one of the specials, it was so good. Nice relaxed atmosphere, service was great. Great selection of wines, I think it is one of best places around actually.
