Wow.. somewhat surprised by the bad reviews. I LOVE Indian garden on Devon - not the one downtown. I've always had good service at this location, but I will say that the downtown location was terrible. my table and I were ignored and patrons who came in after us were treated before us, etc., etc. I would say at the downtown location, there was definitely a "skin color" (ie white is preferred) issue, but never for me at the Devon location. Plus the food I've gotten has always been really good.

very poor service. they mistook the order. we waited for 30mins without food. ppl were treated mainly for their skin color. Indians were also not cared. i will never ever revisit it again. it was very horrible experience.

We went to Indian Garden tonight and ordered the Navratan Korma-which is a veggie dish with coconut milk. I was horrified when it came because the dish looked like the filling to a chicken pot pie. It looked like they used the frozen bagged veggies which have the perfectly cubed carrots, peas, corn etc. We have had this dish many times at some great Indian restaurants and have always liked it because of the fresh ingredients. It was a total hack job on this recipe. The naan also tasted like it was made with bisquick. The service is great there. They took the item off the bill no questions asked. They have put together a great staff but unfortunately the authenticity of the food was a bit of a let down for us. We won't go back as there are so many other places in that area to try.

Went last night. Had great, attentive, informative, and really just nice service. Place was a little empty, but who cares. Food was really good since I'd never had Indian food before. The appetizer platter and mixed grill were piled high, so I've got food for the next days or so. The naan is delicious.

Great Food, Decent Prices and above average service. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at on Devon. You'll never go away hungry - for like $17 or so, they have a dinner for two that you'll still manage to take food home and still be full...give this place a try
