The food was excellent. The veggies were cooked to perfection and the chicken could not have been better. However, the noise of the football game that was on in the bar, along with the cheering and a druck patron smoking cigarettes wandering across from the bar into the dining area screaming on his cell phone, spoiled much of the meal because the ambience sucked--and I love football!
They need a partition between the bar and the restaurant so you can actually hear the music while you eat instead of what it sounds like in a pub/restaurant, not what it should be in a $60-100 per person restaurant. It is just not the atmosphere I want when eating a fine meal.

In a word, the Caliterra is fantastic! Our waiter and the chef were not only very accommodating but friendly as well, and the food was nothing short of superb. In addition, the prices are if anything lower than other Chicago restaurants in the same class. I would go back in a heartbeat if I lived closer!

I absolutely loved Caliterra! While the food is a bit expensive, the quality and tastes are worthy of the price. If you dine at Caliterra, you must try the Soup Trilogy, which consisted of the most flavorful soups I have ever tasted. A good idea of Caliterra's is the half-portion pastas which cost half as much. I had a dish of delicious gnocchi for only $11. Oh, and when you visit this restaurant, ask for the window seat!
