I finally visited Pollo Campero two weeks ago. In the first week alone, I visited 3 times. The following week...4 times (with different friends I had told about the chicken). To begin with, the service is the greatest and I hope the standards on that don't change. The good service from the greeter to the server really sets the whole tone of the restaurant. The chicken is absolutely the best I've tasted since my mother's scrumptious chicken. The burritos (first tasted at my last visit) are very light and flavorful. The best part of the whole thing is that I do not feel "bloated" when I leave. That is why I'm surprised to read that this chicken is fried. Let's see...am I interpreting that correctly? Is "fried" one thing and "deep fried" another? Anyhow, I'm hoping it's not deep fried and my tummy seems to feel and act as if it's not!! I am a middle-aged caucasian female and am absolutely crazy over this chicken, the burritos, the "sides" (only for a couple of those), and the fantastic individual sauces that are off to the side arranged neatly in a chilled cart. They are great for dipping. I love the inflated chicken head over the restaurant and am especially crazy for the chicken feet impressions that mark your way through the outside drive through! Pollo Campero ROCKS and I am a definitely one of its regular ROCKERS!!!
