The best! My buddy Earl and I went in to have a simple dinner but instead had an amazing feast! Chile Relleno, Pulpo, Tacitos, Ceviche, Camaron, Empanadas, and Mojitos. To be honest after the Mojitos, I dont remember what else we ate, but WOW!!!

My partner and I stumbled upon this place Tuesday night and were more than pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was classy and fun, the service was perfect - attentive, but not intrusive - and the food was just plain good. We each picked entrees from that night's specials - he had a spicy pork dish, I had a mild chicken - and we both experienced that wonderful moment when you realize you've been doing nothing but enjoying the food in front of you for the past five minutes. We ignored each other for food and were glad for it.
Our bill at the end of the night was just around $50 for n/a drinks, an appetizer, and two generous entrees.
We'll definitely be back to try the ceviche.

very disapponted, went on sund for Andersonville days, besides the drinks are way over priced, 8 dlls for a small bacardi and coke, I paid with a credit card and left the tip on cash, $1. Wich I think is ok for a drink. I found out they also added 2.50 on my credit card slip.

For the last seven years I have going all over Chicago sampling ceviche. Ole Ole has by far some of the consistently best ceviche in town. It never seems to be yesterday's left speacial fish that didn't sell well enough, turned into ceviche (which some places do. The combination of seafood in the ceviche is always even and it always has a fresh texture. I also enjoy the beef empanadas. Try a Xinga (sp?) beer, good stuff.

My favorite restaurant! I have been to Ole Ole many times and I have never been disappointed with a meal. The manager Rick recognized my husband and I by the 3rd time we were there and goes out of his way to make sure we are happy. I recently had a birthday there and the staff treated us like family.
A few of our favorites: croquettas, empanadas, and the best appetizer: Ceviche! For main dishes their fajitas are wonderful, but my favorites are the tilapia with a delicious crabmeat sauce on top as well as the oak plank salmon, it has a real smokey taste.
As far as drinks are concerned, the mojitos, caipirihnias, and pisco sours are wonderful.
We rarely save room for dessert, but they look great.

Gotta have the Mojito. It's great. The wait staff very pleasant, and attentive. I went with a group of friends and we had a great time. The Salsa music was awesome. All that was needed was a dance floor. The Chilean Sea Bass is to die for. Appetizers were ok. MY friends loved the civeche. It was a hit. Desserts were very well prepared and the presentation was beautiful. I recommend Ole Ole.

Ok. So the place has been open a month, now and WOW! Amazing! Service was quick and Chris, our server, was attentive and friendly. Warm and funny, even. But the food! The food steals the show. I had the aroz con pollo and it was very moist and flavorful. But I also had an immense amount of food envy as my dining partner had the stuffed green peppers. This place put my poor mother to shame with these. I didn't realize this dish could have so much flavor. (I think it's the cheese.) Seriously, everything tonight was awesome. And the dessert, that mango dish everyone goes on about, was worthy of the praise.
Go there. Post haste!

Whatever you do, please have a Mojito. It's quite possibly one of the best in Chicago. Ole Ole was full when I went with my pal, but after a few Mojitos while listening to Celia Cruz ("Azucar!"), time passed quickly.
For appetizers, we selected the red snapper creviche and the "spicy" guacamole. My companion is Latin, and I'm Anglo but we both agree that these items need more heat. We waited 30 minutes for appetizers.
I enjoyed the rib eye entree and my pal had the chicken with rice. The dipping sauce on the side of the steak is fan-freaking-tabulous! The plantains were OK but better dipped in guacamole. The chicken, sadly, was dry. Not just dry, the chicken was removing moisture from the air, dehumidifying the entire room. My pal didn't finish it and I don't blame her.
The wait staff is pleasant but service is slow. There seems to be an abundance of floor staff and servers (nearly tripping on each other), so I can only guess that the kitchen is busy drying out chickens.
Dessert is amazing! We wish we had tried the triple milk and cake dessert, but ordered the mango mousse to share. Very yummy! Tangy, while the pistachio cake underneath compliments it perfectly.
