Capital Grille offers outstanding steak that is butchered and dry-aged on the premises. It also has an extensive wine list that would probably satiate the most experienced sommelier. The service is friendly and accomodating, and the decor is restrained and conservative.
That said, the atmosphere in Capital Grille is a bit contrived. Capital Grille is a chain restaurant that strives for an authentic "good ol' boys" steakhouse feel. But when you've been to the real deal, such as Chicago Chop House or Gene and Georgetti, you can spot an imitation a mile away. This type of restaurant attracts tourists, the corporate crowd, and a bit of the macho male Rush St. crowd, but if you're looking for something a little more Chicago I'd recommend an original steak restaurant.
Sidenote: I did not spot a single person of color in a leading waitstaff position, in a city where 2/3 of the city population are minorities.

Classy, elegant, delicious. The lamb chops melted in your mouth. The best I have ever tasted. Great appetizer selections along with amazing side dish selections. The atmosphere was lively, inviting, and intimate at the same time. I'll be back.

The service I recieved was excellent. Bartender Colin was the most attentive barkeep in the city. I will visit this bar every time I come to town.

The Capital Grille spoils me! I have never tasted a better filet, it melts in your mouth! I have eaten alot of steak and nothing can compare to this. Every time I am down that way I must eat there, I can not pass it up. From the side dishes to the drinks, everything is remarkable. The atmosphere is extrordinary. The wait staff is there to make sure that you do not leave unhappy, and you never do.

The service was superb, right down to the black napkin instead of white so not to leave lint on my black suit. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. It was a most pleasurable dining experience.

The Capital Grille is for people who know steak. The resturant has spoiled me because I haven't tasted any meat as good as the filet I ate. I loved the atomsphere and the food was amazing. I highly recommend this resturant to anyone who is a big meat eater.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Service is amazing, the dry-aged steaks superb and the ambiance pefect.
