And let me tell you this, the place is a mudhole. Even the bartenders are crazy! Jeesus. My boyfriend and I had a horrible time. Keep in mind we went there a week or two ago, and it was simply horrible. If you want a good bar in Bucktown, go to the web.

I was unexpectedly assaulted and battered at Ed and Jean's,
If you are ready to deal with some serous psycho social problems and perhaps a few scrapes as well as perhaps being detained and arrested you could go to Ed and Jean's.
When I went there that was not my expectation so I was not happy that I went and I will never be any where around there again

I was there a year ago and by far is still my favorite dive bar. "Mama" is and always will be the best bartender in Chicago.
