Vance Kelly is a truly talented musician and is always willing to take requests from the audience. Like Kyle, I see him at Libertyville's Firkin Bar and my wife and I loved him so much, we booked him to play at our wedding!

Vance Kelly is bluesman. I point this out because he does such a broad range of material, from Muddy Waters to the more soulful tunes of the mid -seventies disco era, with Motown, James Brown, Crosby,Stills &Nash, and just about any and everything in between. What some modern blues fans don't realize is that much of what passes for 'blues' today is a marketing technique, businessmen telling musicians what to play, and audiences accepting this to the point where they think that -they- can tell a soulful, talented artist that they're 'not blues'. Real bluesmen play whatever material they want to, with the real blues in the feeling of the performance. If all you want is blues history, read a book. Vance Kelly is the chicago blues as it is played here and now.

went to northside to see vance kelly for the christmas just as i said before he is truly one of the best blues players that i have every seen .and, as always it was a blast.thank you ,you know i do ,love and miss you very much hope to see you soon.catherine,pam.forever,southside berkeley.

Vance Kelly is awesome. For us out in the suburbs he plays Libertyville's Firkin bar and Restaurant every Thursday night. His mix of authentic blues and modern R and B really gets the crowd hopping. He's talented and fun!
