This is one my new list of favorites. It took me a while to visit after hearing great things from my friends, but I'm so glad I did! The food was artfully prepared, incredibly fresh. Fantastic wine list. I really enjoyed talking with the friendly staff, including the very knowledgeable GM. YAY!

I have to say that for the extremely high prices, the food was nothing more than dissappointing. The manager was so disrespectful towards us. We had an issue at our table and she refused to come and talk to us about it. Then she talked about us when she thought we couldn't here her. Unbelievable. This place ruined our night, and we were left with a tab for $177.00. Some of the food was tasty--but it was spotty. The higher priced dishes were not worth paying even half the price. I'd rather go to a place like Greek Islands, or another Chicago classic that promises great food, but doesn't make your wallet hurt. NEVER AGAIN.

When we first opened the door to May Street Market, we were greeted by one of the managing partners. She was incredibly welcoming and this set the tone for the impeccible service and food to come. The portion sizes are perfect; I had room for a three-course meal and didn't leave feeling uncomfortably full. Highly recommend: Maytag Bleu Cheesecake, Crispy Skinned Sablefish, and the Semifreddo. The scallops could have used more chorizo, but were so fresh I barely noticed. By the time all was said and done, it was a little above my usual budget but the good feeling you get knowing that you just ate a great meal while supporting sustainable agriculture is completely worth it. I am definitely coming back!

We went to this charming restaurant in October. 7 of us had an amzing time on a friday night. Service was great and decor was wonderful. The food is quite simply the best in the city. I am shocked they have not received more press. This is a diamond.

Forget about ordering to take away, they prefer you eat in. They might want to re-think their stance on this to encourage patrons who do not always have the time to eat in. When called at 6pm to inquire, they advised us to call back at 9pm?

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to dine at the My Street Market for one of their dry runs. It looks like it is going to be a winner. I especially recommend the elk chop and venison medallion.
