THIS IS NOT DEEP DISH. Deap dish has heavy toppings and tons of cheese, eg. Gino's East and Giordanos.
Carmen's "Deep Dish" has the same THIN amount of cheese and toppings as an average thin crust. So basically, it's just really thick bread with the toppings of a thin crust. Totally NOT deap dish.
If you like bread, go to Carmens.

I live in albuquerque and there were 2 Carmen's here in Alb but both closed. Then there was one in Santa Fe which i used to travel to just to get good pizza, but now that one is gone too! Oh that buttery-baked flakiness of the crust is pure heaven. And that sauce! Carmen's can not be reproduced. There is nothing, I say NOTHING like Carmen's. Carmen's come BACK! COOOME BAAAACK!

I grew up in Evanston, enjoying Carmens Pizza. I never knew how good I had it until I moved to Arizona. They have no idea what good pizza is here. I would do anything to get a Stuffed Carmens Pizza right now. If anyone know how I can have this pizza shipped to me I would greatly appreciate it.

Carmens has long been the best pizza you buy with money.
Get the Pan pizza. It is thick, covered in cheese, and stuffed with the best ingredients money can buy. Well worth the 40 minute wait, and for dining in, you can preorder it, and they'll get it started before you arrive.
I'll be taking back some half-baked, frozen pizzas to show California what they are missing. I'm Sitting here in Venice, CA, and I can't wait to taste more this weekend when I visit.
If you can, eat on the second floor at the rail, overlooking the pizza ovens.

I agree with Irina Slavina that the restaurant is really a good one. I like their buffet style and I also love Evanston.

Not only have I eaten at carmen's all my life, I also used to work there. Belive me when I say it's the tastiest and freshest pizza ever. There is no pizza as good as carmen's!
