I have eaten at Coco three times and had drinks a few more. The best value is dining lightly on appetizers which are less disapointing of Puerto Rican native's expectations found in their cuisine. The Mojitos, Coco martinis, and chocolate martinis are worth every penny (about $8 each). The owner is very hospitable and concerned about your dining experience. All the appetizers are excellent and you will particularly gravitate toward one that your taste buds favor if you have the sampler. Live salsa on Saturdays with a comfortable dancing atmosphere make it a social event for beginers or salseros. My wife and I will surely return for drinks on a Saturday. I have yet to try the desserts.

Coco Restaurant has got to be the best place ever for great food and live salsa music. Dinner prices at Coco's are pretty standard for Modern Puerto Rican cuisine ($15-$18 for dinner) and the lunch is outstanding! Delicious Coco food and ambiance for half the price.

The live music is what originally got me. While driving down Paseo Boricua (Division Street) I heard this infectious sound. The next day I looked up their website www.cocochicago.com and made reservations for that same evening.

The best part, there is no cover or drink minimum to enjoy the live band which plays on Fridays and Saturday. See you at Coco's!
