Great Service, Great Food My family came here for a morning brunch, ok, this was a private event- family only - but the staff at the restaurant accommodated everything for us, nice looking buffet, with fresh juices, fresh fruit, muffins, bacon, eggs, we were celebrating a special occasion in our family and were looking for something like this, Mr. Bardales was nice to open this place so early in the morning and providing this wonderful dishes. Thank you, now i have a place close to my home for private parties.

If you are a Peruvian you will always try to find a good Peruvian Restaurant around your town. Peruvian Food has flavors and aromas that maintain us in contact with our Peruvian roots, with our happier memories. Ay Ay Picante Peruvian Cuisine is the home i have in Chicago, their food is by far the best i had (comparing to other [peruvian restaurants)places, try their Seco de codero (lamb stew) or my favorite Ceviche mixto, the anticuchos (beef skewers), or the traditional papa ala Huiancaina, prices?? you will be satisfied, portions are big for the price, service is good, atmosphere is great, it takes me back to my land. This place is BYOB... with no extra charge... I am happy to have found this place. Authentic Cuisine! Peruvian Chefs!! Best Peruvian Restaurant of 2008!!

Best Peruvian Cuisine in chicago!!!!! I enjoyed traveling and with that ethic food, i came across with Peru a few years back and since them i have been in search to find the real Peruvian cuisine, to me this is what AY AY PICANTE -PERUVIAN CUISINE IS ...AUTHENTIC! not only for the way the food is being deliver to the table but for the flavor on each dish, i was told that the chef is peruvian (this might be the secret), on the same note waiters are very polite, ambiance is romantic and pleasant, very clean. Mr Bardales (the owner) welcomes you as a long time friend, A great find in Chicago.

My family and I went there for my 18th birthday last week, and having lived in Peru for almost 9 years, I can truly say that this restaurant has the true "sabor peruano"! The food is delicious. My personal favorites are the ceviche simple, and lomo saltado. The service is great as well! All of those involved with AyAy Picante, the cooks, waiters, and even the owner himself made this one of the most enjoyable birthdays ever!

I love trying new dishes, for some people Humitas might not be something so exotic, but it is!! I had it tonight! at AY AY PICANTE PERUVIAN PLACE, and let me tell you it was goooood! At first i was confuse with the 2 flavors: 1.- Sweet humitas, made with real corn, cinamon, raisins. 2.- Salty humitas, made with real corn, chicken, etc. etc. I don't know which is the best, but i love the smell of cinamon, graciously wrapped in corn husks... hmmmm steamy...hmmm in this cold weather made my day! My friend had the ceviche myxto, lot of seafood on the plate, big pieces of shrimp surrounded by clear, spicy citrus juice, great presentation, lots of food!! And Prices???? well, very cheap (compare to other places) great atmosphere, attentive service, very courteous waiters. BYOB, doesn't hurt to mention, we don't drink, but i am sure some people will be happy to know.

When i come to this restaurant, i feel just like home. Waiters are so sweet and always smiling, dishes are so delicious, and always come hot to the table,i don't eat any spicy food, so most dishes are good for me. Peruvian people are so nice. Thank you Ay AY Piccante!!!!

Best Seafood Dishes... For those who love exotic dishes, this Peruvian restaurant has all and more that you can handle.... starting from the ceviches (like 4 different kinds) to the tilapia a la basca, or the avocado shrimp salad...oh boy!!! this is heaven!! We got here by accident (had to make an stop because of the bad weather) and now will be our favorite place. Prices are reasonable for the portions they serve....big-big-big.
