Food is excellent, waitresses not so excellent. Just expect to eat good food, but to be ignored.

This is NOT your typical..or stereotypical..Thai restaurant. No garish colors, no tattered menus..remember, I said "stereotypical". This is a elegant, but no stuffy, wood paneled room which would not be out of place in a downtown location.
The food is fantastic. For the traditionalist, there are the usual array of dishes, but prepared with exquisitely fresh ingredients and lovely presentation. For those with a more adventuresome streak, there are traditional Thai dishes which I have not found in any other Thai restaurant..and I eat a lot of Thai.
The service was excellent..attentive, but not obtrusive. Though the restaurant was full, we never felt unattended or rushed.
I'd give this place 5 up chopsticks!

Spoon is delicious, but the number listed is not the right number. The number to Spoon on 4608 N Western is (773) 769-1173. The number above is for Thai Spoon on S Wabash, and they will not be happy with you if you call to cancel you order because you thought you were ordering at a Thai place up in Lincoln Square...

Best Thai I've found since moving back to the City. Very authentic; many unusual dishes and most very good. Also, if you like spice, you don't have to beg here to give you a spicy dish. Did have one dish I wouldn't recommend -- the whole fish. Otherwise, be adventurous and enjoy. BYOB.
