The food was wonderful and the waiter/waitress was exceptionally nice. I have never been to a nicer restaurant that was all around good with a wionderful old world feel to it.

Good food and really good party. They just had a band come all the way from Czech and it was a really really great time.
They have Haloween party coming too on October 28th

What a great slice of history this restaurant and tap room is. Wonderful staff and service. If your looking for Czech food you don't have to take an 11 hour flight just a fifteen minute drive west of Chicago. I have been eating there since I was a child and have never had a bad meal. Stop by and try some Utopence (pickled sausages)Trust me they are really good. Svickova and Goulash are the best this side of the Atlantic!!!! cau

My brother I went to eat there in May, and the waitress we had was really nice. She even called the Chicago transit to find out for us when the trains stop. My Great Aunts ate at this restaurant since the 1940's. They have very authentic Czech food, it tates just like what my grandma made.

My wife and I ate there a few years ago, we had a Czech speaking waitress and the food was just great. Dominik Hasek"s parents from Pardubice, Czech Republic ate there just a week prior to our vist to the resatuart.

My senior citizen group came to the restaurant recently and were treated poorly. The hostess was very rude and sharp tongued to us. Our lunch was family style however, there was not enough chicken for everyone to have a piece, likewise the pork tenderloin, and when she was asked to provide more, she commented sharply that someone must have taken more than their share of one piece each. We were not told that there wqas a limit to how much to take from the platters, however. I understood that noone took more than one, there just wasn't enough on the platters. The price we paid was more than it should have been to be treated in such a poor manner.
