Average pizza. For $15 you get some chewy crust, a very thin layer of flavorless sauce, barely any cheese, and some average toppings. The Funghi pizza comes with mushrooms that taste like they are canned. The specialty pizza we had was okay, but not too special. I don't understand why the place is packed because it is average at best.

WONDERFUL! The pizzas my husband and I had were very flavorful, simple and elegant. (try the arugula) Antipasti of eggplant and zuchinni were outstanding, so was the tiramisu----perfect. One thing to know, the pizza crust is chewey towards the middle and crispy at the crust. This is not a mistake. Accordint to the owner, it is the way pizza is made in Napoli. If you want your crust crispy, just ask. (the outer crust will be very crispy)

Waste of time and Hunger! This place had all the hype and it did not deliver...not even close. $35 for 2 pizzas that were 9inches and Burnt. On top of that they dont even cut the pie for you. Little ceasers tastes better.

The only thing that is authentic in this place is the food. There is no hospitality or welcoming Italian attitude. It's eat it then beat it, literally. We spent $150 on 2 appetizers, 2 pizzas, wine and dessert and were kicked out of our table 20 minutes before they close, because the owner said, "he needed to feed other people". Not surprised to learn the owner is not Italian. If you want to choke down your food and move along...this is the place for you. If you want to plunk down $150 and feel like you are welcomed....go elsewhere.

Even great pizza tastes horrible when the experience is ruined. After spending nearly $200 on dinner, I left very upset after having been asked to leave because they "needed the table". I guess I should have read the reviews before I went, I now realize that's the owners MO: Lure them in with free cheese and wine while they wait for a table, serve them quickly, get their money, and kick them out. The owner clearly forgot to bring one thing back from Italy when he went over there to learn how to make pizza, Hospitality. I guess I can't blame him though, he's not even Italian, he'll never understand. Great food gets customers in once, great service keeps them coming back.

I went there with my fiance to propose here. That was the best choice ever. After eating fungi pizza she could't say no to any of my questions. Delicious.

MADE US FEEL LIKE WE WERE IN ITALY, BUT WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN FOR THE PIZZA! VERY SOGGY AND OVER PRICED. ALL THE PIZZA'S I EVER ATE IN ITALY WERE NEVER SOGGY. ALWAYS THIN, & CRISPY. ICE CREAM DELICIOUS THOUGH.

No review of Spacca Napoli would be complete without mentioning that the pizza is nothing but extraordinary. Though this Lincoln Square restaurant fills up at peak hours, they know how to take care of waiting customers, offering wine and samples of a luscious truffle and olive oil pizza.
Once seated the menu is simple, but their truly is not a bad dish on the menu. What ties them all together is an appreciation for good, simple food and the salty chewy crust of Spacca Napoli's signature and thoroughly delicious pizzas.
The customers were diverse, from a rowdy group of 20-somethings, to older spouses out for a quiet evening, to young couples there for the intimate environment and reasonable prices. What ties all these people together is a simple fact, as my lovely dining companion described it, Spacca Napoli's Pizza is "just happy."
