I was intrigued. A pizza that I have to pick up (Evanston says they do not deliver but some of the city stores do) and bake at a price higher then many delivery brands. Well that has to be some pizza right? However I did have some concerns. Commercial pizza ovens bake at 750F not 450F that Homemade instructs you to bake their pizza at. So we picked up a movie and dropped by Homemade on Chicago Ave. We got an artichoke and Sun-dried tomato pizza. It was $15 for the small. The crust was very good. The sauce was OK. Sun-dried Tomatoes and Artichokes – what can you do? Homemade does not dry their own tomatoes they come from a jar as do the artichokes. Premium Frozen pizzas in the grocery store are $5.00 - $8.00. I could see making a special trip for Home-Made Pizza if they were around $8.00, $10 at the max. I say skip it and buy a good frozen pizza or splurge on a good delivery place ( I like Pequods in Morton Grove or Gulliver’s in Chicago).
