Best dogs ,this is the old traditional Chicago hot dog. Im glad they do not have poppyseed buns!! fries that are wrapped on the dog the best!

OK I agree that everyone will not be crazy about G&J, but for me they are just the best. I have been eating these hot dogs for over 40 years and there is nothing like them anywhere else. I think they do something to them to make you crave them. Just read what others have said. I live 60 miles from G&J but will go out of my way to have them whenever I am anywhere near the place.

One of the best dogs ive had in a long time not to mention the best fries around. Nothing beats fries sliced and prepared right in front of you not to match the quality and taste of them.

Well.. i am going to have to disagree with these people saying that the dogs were bad. And MMMHHHMMMMM how do u know what a "chicago dog is" some where toher then chicago.. then go to chicago and say its not a " chicago dog " Please i was born and raised in the city and i now live in Indiana... i would KILL to have a gene and judes here.. but im going next weekend just for gene and judes and a Jays beef! good eatin at the good ole' G&J!! xoxo

I never thought I would waste this much time on this, but I had to say how this was the worst hot dog. The tamales, even a bigger joke. This guy is using the cheapest possible ingredients and had people standing in line. If enough people tell you it's good, people will say "yeah, the greatest" Starbucks illness

Moved from Chicago 29 years ago and haven't been back. Don't miss the cold winters, but I would walk through snow and ice to get my hands on a Gene & Jude's Hot Dog. Still thinking about them after all these years. P.S. They were 35 cents when I had my last one.

Absolutely worst hotdog I have ever had. I am a hot dog aficionado and would tell you to avoid this place and go to Superdawg or Wiener Circle or America Dog to try a great dog.

Worst food ever. They use these mashed plain buns-not a poppyseed on them. Then they only put mustard, some crappy relish and the most sour onions ever and sport peppers. Thats it. That's not a real Chicago hot dog. a real Chicago hot dog has sweet relish, sweet onion, tomato slices, pickle wedge and sometimes a cucumber wedge, hot sport peppers on a steamed Rosens poppyseed hot dog bun. Also worth noting, the place was abuzz with flies, small and huge. Lastly, thier fries were soggy and oversalted. BTW the only items they prepare there are hotdogs, fries and tamales. The tamales are Tomtoms. How this place remains in business is one of lifes great mysteries. I wouldn't feed this food to a dog.
