The food is great and the atmosphere is very nice. We eat here at least once a week and are very loyal customers. Although until last week when we ordered to pick up, my boyfriend had an american express which we forgot they dont take. He said he couldnt pay. I just called to place an order tonight and they said they wouldnt serve us! Excuse me but we have been customers ever since we lived in the lakeview area. You do not treat a customer like that in any situation. I hope the owners read this because you just lost great customers as well as all of our friends. LEARN HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS

This small but comfortable sushi place is the ultimate neighborhood favorite. The staff have always been friendly, welcoming, and cheerful. There is definitely something for everyone, from the timid sushi first-timer to the adventurous foodie, and the prices are not only budget-friendly but a great deal- you get miso soup, ginger salad, and an orange for an after-dinner sweet. Decor is minimal but I do love the "homey" feel of mismatched retro-looking plates and dishes. Bentonara is a charming, neighborhood spot where the staff always remember my name and thank me for stopping in. Bentonara isn't trying too hard, it's just great sushi at a great price. What more could you want?

I love this place! Not only is the sushi wonderful and fresh and the service friendly--but it is very well priced. You can get a platter of four rolls for under 10 dollars, less at lunch. Plus you get salad, chef's special starter (usually spicy veg), soup and an orange to finish. What a deal! This place is my new favorite. Very casual but I like that--wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Did I mention wonderful?
