I played in the Neenah band at the same time as Kurt. I was a lowly saxophone player,and not first chair. I remember Kurt very well, he was so dramatic in style and presence. I think we all knew he was going somewhere! Where the rest of us were not. I loved when he was allowed to play solo, under Ciorba's tutelage. Am so glad he has done well. Hurray!

Just popped in to say "hi", & mention that I went to high school w/ Kurt (Shattuck Sr. High in Neenah, WI). At that time he wasn't singing much yet, but he was 2nd trumpet. Played a few gigs w/ him. My sister hung out w/ his group of friends, so she knew him better than I.
