The Clearwater Theatre is a charming little place that unfortunately serves weak drinks and books horrible warm-up bands for their main acts. I could have shown up a hour late and spared myself the misery. With Gas at 4.40 a gallon it's not worth the drive unless you want take in the scenery of the Fox River and surrounding area prior to the gig.

Well I went to the Clearwater once for a concert and liked it. Its in the suburbs of Chicago so theres not the fear of driving in the city. Anywho the venue is solid and perfect for any kind of music. Haha surprisingly there is a back door right on the stage and thats where the band comes in and plays. Great acoustics and plenty of standing room available. Theres parking about 2 blocks away so its not too bad. Overall a great place for a show, although not too many national acts play here. If youre in to the underground music you'll find what youre looking for at the Clearwater.
