I went to eat on 5/10 and it was great. They are under new management. Food and customer service are great, they also have new waitors. The area and the lady's washroom is clean and fresh. I will recommend to everyone who loves to eat and a nice environment for you to enjoy.

Just came back from buffet palace. in one word "AWEFUL"! Arrived for a really early dinner, 330pm. the cashier said that we would have to finish meal in 30 min or we would have to pay the dinner price. we opted to come back in 30. Came back and the food was aweful. they had mac and cheese there for so long that a skin developed on top of the dish. The steak by the mongolian grill had brown spots all over it. They did not refill our drinks until we asked. From my understanding a buffet is all you can eat, not a this place. The high ticket items such as crab legs, oysters, and dungeness crab were held back. you are allowed only one piece of crab leg at one time. and mind you these crab were small and over cooked. we were there for an hr and a half and not once did they bring any out to replenish the dish. same goes for the dungeness crab. when i asked the woman working the food when is it coming out, all she said was that it is cooking. I waited and waited for the dish to come out and it never did. There also was a bad smell coming from the washroom that seeped into the food area, nasty. the staff at this place have to do a better job and stop hiding in the side room talking to each other. never again will i visit this place nor do i recommend anyone to ever visit this place. gross looking food and terrible service.

These reviews can not be legit, Me thinks someone is planting "stellar" reviews. No place varies this much.

the food is good.the dishes that i personally HAVE to HAVE are the Walnut shrimp,lo mein noodles, spicey hunan shrimp, and the cold mussels with some lemon juice to top it off.what i DONT LIke Are the drinks and desserts, the drinks dont taste what its claimed to be and when i last went i had iced tea which tasted like crap.As for the desserts there is only 1 or 2 good things and the rest are shitty.another negative to the place is that everyone stares at you while your eating which is very uncomfortable to me. when i get up to get food people just stare at you,not to mention the creepy overweight men that look at you and smile, but other wise then that ill take my seat all the way in the front were its STARE-FREE and enjoy....

There are literally hundreds of Chinese restaurants in Chicago. Most of them are Korean-owned. But that's besides the point. If you're looking for chive dumplings, you've found 'em at Buffet Palace.

From the tiled floors to the carpeting celiings, this place screams class. "Class!" While the sides are good, the entrees are even better, and the dessert is not that good.

I usually stop by here on the way to the cleaner's (also Korean-owned) and I am never let down by the cleaner's. Chinese Buffet has a lot of chairs for you to sit in. They also offer complimentary use of utensils, including sugar spoons, which I use to put sugar into their oustanding iced tea. I would recommend Buffet Palace just for that. Don't get me started on those chive dumplings . . . !

Walking through the entrance to Buffet Palace, it was as if my friend and I were transformed into royalty and teleported to a magical kingdom of culinary magnificence. I sampled all of the many, many delicacies they had to offer, but found a home among the sugar meats (my favorite being the chicken honey, er, honey chicken). And though diabetes runs in my family I couldn't resist chasing my chicken honey with a refreshing coca cola which was also first rate. Like a roman in search of the vomitorium I began to wonder if I had reached my limits. After loosening my belt about 3 notches, I realized I hadn't--by a long shot. I made my way to the desserts and was anything but disappointed. Having tossed a couple almond cookies, a handful of sesame seed balls filled with some delicious goo, and a peach puff down the hatch I made my way to the ice-cream machine. Like a gambling addict dropping his life's savings in Vegas, I began dialing in various flavor toppings and tugging on the machine's dispenser handle like it was the quarter slots. When I got back to the table with my chocolate/banana/pistachio masterpiece I realized I had just hit the jackpot--baby had gotten that badly needed pair of shoes. Would I go back? Man, I wish I had never left!

In a word, stellar. My friend and I weren't sure what to expect based on the relatively (to the nearby buildings) plain-looking exterior of the building. Once inside, however, we knew we'd found the crown jewels of this shopping center. Within a lavish in comforting atmosphere, we sampled delectables from basically everything their was to offer. The starters were fabulous. I sampled the crab rangoon, pot stickers, chicken on a stick, soups, salads. Everything was fresh. Can you say yum? The entrees were fabulous as well. Tasty Beef and Broccoli, crispy General Tso's chicken, and spicy Green Pepper chicken were a few of the dishes that I sampled. I was so impressed, that I decided to go ahead and try the pizza and fries just for fun! There again, I was not disappointed. Someone complained about the Coke in an earlier review. Mine was fantastic! To finish things up, I sampled some of the ice cream from their 7 flavored machine! Wonderful, and how do they do that? The price was a little out of my range at $13.10, but I'll probably be back because it was that good.

...Lots of variety but they need more servers...the fish (Catfish) was very good as was the noodles and the speghetti, stuffed Italian meatballs(stuffed with shrimp),hot fluffy rice (I think Jasmine) mushrooms in a delicate brown gravy, also shrimp and lobster in a butter sauce...the beef shortribs were a little tough and eggrolls could have been more tender...food not hot but warm...Coca-cola was perfect!, pink lemonade needed more lemon? they need more servers especially on Sunday when there were many families there...
