Give this place time it will be a great Wrigleyville venue . Our burgers were cooked as ordered and the server was quick to the table to ask if we needed another refill. This is a classy place and a must stop before or even after the cubbies win in 08.

I too lived around the corner on Jarvis growin gup.
I went in there the first day Cap'n Nemos was open and was hooked. The Cap'n and his wife remebered all the customers by name from that first day.
I have never had a sub as good anywhere else. The soup was out of this world. And I always enjoyed talking to Lou (Cap'n Nemo) and his family. The wait was always entertaining as the family interacted as they made your sub.
Is Lou still alive and working? I have not been back since my dad moved away from Jarvis in the 80's
I am so glad they are still going strong today.

The Chesapeake benedict is my favorite-$10 for two crabcake benedicts and potatoes! Perfectly poached eggs, tons of crabmeat, and a great hollandaise. Super friendly service, awesome pancakes-if you can get the white chocaolate raspberry, a seasonal special, you'll be in heaven! The blueberries are super-fluffy, too. The slick chick is awesome, too. It is a chain, but this one has been here for a long time and has tons of daily specials that make it a daily treasure.

My wife and I had dinner at Haussmann and can't wait to go back. We live in the city and it was worth the drive north. The fare may be "American" but it has a lot of French influence. She had the Skate, served traditionally with lemon and capers, and loved it. I had the steak and it was perfectly cooked. We shared the charcuterie plate. While there wasn't any surprises,(which can be a good thing), the food was very good and consistant. The room was buzzing. We'll be back and can't wait to try their lunch.

As a manager of one of only 4 PIZZA vendors I was saddened by the lack of other places selling too. The idea of any fest is to have choices. There were to be 10 - 15 vendors there. Being that there were 4 it put a lot of pressure that showed up. Where we expected to sell 300 pizzas all weekend we ended up doing over 1000. Worked my whole staff relentlessly to keep up.
Being a hand tossing place with an image, unique ideas, and a bag of tossin' tricks I would have loved loved loved to bring my kitchen and crew there to show how its done but that wasn't an option provided....
There were pizza places allowed to compete in the contests that WEREN'T selling at the fest. If they wanted to compete they should have been serving there, and if they were serving there I think the reviews for the fest would have been a lot better as well.

I am from Canada and have lived in Chicago several times, each for about a month at a time. I found this store on my first visit and I kept going back each time. The staff is amazing, the books are always in great shape and they are never to busy to help you find that wanted work of literature or suggest something you would enjoy.

This event was very disappointing. All the pizza was delivered, none produced on-site. (I was hoping to see some wood ovens or grills going). The vendors often ran out of pizza, so that they would wait for more deliveries. All of the pizza tasted stale, and was often cold.
This "fest" seemed to completely miss everything that makes Pizza in Chicago special.
