This is one of Chicago's less traveled beaches, and therefore a great place to escape typical summer crowds. And it has more than just sand and water to keep you entertained, with amenities such as basketball and tennis courts, volleyball, a beach house and bikes to rent. Admission is free of charge as is the parking lot located just south of the beach. If you're hungry, you'll appreciate the concession stand and Del Lana's Deli.
