Located about 20 miles west of Chicago, this path starts at 1st Avenue and Adams in Maywood and runs all the way to Wheaton, where a crossroads splits the course in two, heading in to both Elgin and Aurora. Stretching a total of 61 miles through the Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties, the Prairie Path courses across a former rail bed, with scenery of neighborhoods, nature and commercial districts.
