I don't know why Italian beef joints happen to be this way, but they all seem to have creative pricing, and Luke's is no exception. You gotta love a place that serves a $4.29 Italian beef sandwich (made from Luke's original recipe and served on French bread) that you can top with 37-cent peppers or 47-cent cheese sauce. The remainder of the menu is just as hearty and well-priced: Load up on $3.45 meatball sandwiches, a footlong turkey sub for $5.59 and the Friday special, a sweet pepper and egg sandwich, for $3.59.
