The epitome of a late-night burrito joint, this small establishment offers sparse decor, with a handful of tables and high-backed wooden chairs placed on linoleum floors illuminated by fluorescent lighting. What the spot may lack in ambiance, though, it makes up for in service and food. A small, friendly, perpetually smiling staff can help you customize your dishes, which run the gamut of traditional south-of-the-border favorites. A regular burrito, made fresh to order with zesty flavors, could easily satisfy your craving for a late-night snack, but if you're looking for something more unique, the hand-written note on the front door describes one of Angela's specialties, the elusive California burrito. Truly a rare find in Chicago, these giant creations come stuffed with carne asada, guacamole and the usual fixings, along with the addition of crispy French fries.
If the dinners can't absorb the damage you did last night, swing in for a breakfast of chilaquiles, a mixture of eggs, tortillas, chipotle salsa and jalapeno cheese, described on the menu as "The Ultimate Hangover Cure."
