When it comes to cakes, Bittersweet is king. The extensive menu boasts cakes from six to 16 inches in size, able to feed up to 70 guests at costs of up to $165. Luckily, the under-$25 options will have your dinner party of eight offering up sugar-tinged smiles. Choose from varieties like creme brulee custard with strawberries, pink champagne cake, milk chocolate buttercream and lemon curd with raspberry preserves.
For the truly picky, Bittersweet offers a custom cake option. Select your type of butter cake (choices include chocolate, hazelnut and banana), filling and finish, and top with fruit at will. If a cake outweighs your needs, choose from Bittersweet's smaller, more affordable desserts, like cookies, brownies and pastries.
Not in the mood for sugar? Bittersweet doubles as a great place to meet a friend for lunch thanks to a sunny atmosphere and round marble tables. A limited menu includes wholesome soups, salads, sandwiches and quiche.
Average cost: $10-$20
