A spin-off of the popular Chicago's Pizza chain that's prevalent in the North and Northwest sides (you may notice its logo is virtually identical to the Chicago's Pizza logo), Wrigleyville's Chi-Pie Pizza offers the same late-night grub at its sister company.
While most late-night chains seem hellbent on serving the greasiest hunk of food in their kitchen, Chi-Pie offers more than the oily slice of pie - a massive menu ensures that if you're looking to munch on something healthier or gourmet at 4:30 in the morning, you can do that, too.
Open for delivery until 5 a.m. (they claim to be the first pizza place to stay open this late), Chi-Pie's most obvious late-night/early morning draw is pizza by the slice, thin or stuffed for a reasonable $3.25-$4. As for the full-sized pies, try the Bar-B-Q pizza, with marinated chicken and smoked gouda, the Mexican pizza, with chilies, refried beans and sour cream, or the Gilroy, named after the garlic capital of California (you can guess the main ingredient). From there, the menu opens up considerably: pastas, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, even a few desserts (rice pudding?!).
The joint also offers a breakfast pizza, with typical morning toppings like eggs, bacon and sausage, but only on Saturdays & Sundays before 1 p.m. (though, it would be just as appropriate to sell them during that 4 a.m.-5 a.m. hour as well).
With Wrigley Field just down the street, the C in the signs exclamation of Chicago's pizza! is Cubby blue and red, which just clarifies the clientele Chi-Pie's trying to appeal to. While clean, sizable and with plenty of seating, you may want to go the delivery route should the local bar scene start flooding the place with drunken business.
