As an homage to the "6" area code of New Delhi – a hub for food and shopping in India – this
Lincoln Square shop serves everything from fusion fare to baubles and decor. You'll find Indian kurta tops, skirts, bangles, rings and necklace and earring sets. We personally like the vast selection of loose-leaf teas (there are more than 30 to choose from).
The menu is divided into two sections, featuring a selection of authentic Indian dishes for $6.95 and a list of fusion entrees for $7.95. Expect plenty of samosa, chutney, chick peas and naan.
Delhi 6 also offers daily specials, including chicken curry with rice on Saturdays and corn palak with naan on Sundays ($9.95). We recommend the samosa sandwich (or the "samosa-which," as it's referred to on the fusion side of the menu) with mint and tamarind chutneys. Another fun pick is the chicken tikka skewers prepared in a spicy house marinade and topped with grilled onions. Plans to open an outdoor patio are underway.
