So, you love sushi, but your co-worker loves subs. Think you can't ever eat together? Think again. Express Sushi & Deli combines two unlikely lunchtime favorites, fresh deli meats and raw fish, to make one quick-serve shop.
This pseudo-Japanese restaurant is really just a deli with sushi restaurant-style tables. Most folks that go there are looking for a lunch pick-up or a quickie at the tables (there's room for about 20 patrons).
For the land-lover, Express Sushi & Deli serves all Boar's Head Brand meats and cheeses. With prices ranging from $4.50 for an egg-salad sandwich to $5.95 for roast beef (all come with chips), the sandwiches are served on a variety of breads and feature all the usual toppings. If you don't want a sandwich, try a Boars Head Salad loaded with meat, cheese, veggie and Ponzu dressing.
If you need another option, Express Sushi offers a variety of specialty rolls, from Sexy to Godzilla, all available for less than $11 each. Sushi plates, which come with Miso soup, at least two pieces of fish and one roll, start at $7.95. Rolls and sushi a la carte are also available and range in price from $1.50 to $6.95.
Feel like really confusing your stomach? Express Combos ($6.95 to $8.90) are served with Miso soup or chips and include a roll and half of a sandwich. We recommend the spicy scallop and turkey on rye.
