Conveniently staked out near Bally's Clark outlet, 3way cafe (formerly Fit 'N Fresh Cafe, though, the concept and menu are the same) caters to the calorie counter in all of us (OK, in some of us). With a mission to keep that derriere in check, the sunny cafe, decked out in Gerber-daisy hues, provides low-carb, high-nutritional eats ranging from soups to sandwiches to protein power meals...all with the nutritional info clearly posted, of course (they even list your meal's calories and fat on your receipt).
Cozy up to the counter and order; you'll be given a number and the food is brought to your table. The ease of it all makes for a casual spot where you won't feel out of place if you take a seat after an especially perspiration-filled workout.
Expect to pay somewhere in the neighborhood of $5-$10 per dish. Close inspection proves it's all stuff you could probably make at home (turkey sandwich, anyone?), but do you really want to, and can you keep that layer of mayo in check? The Big Kahuna tuna sandwich (322 calories, 10.8 grams of fat) ups the interest level with avocado slices; the "revitalizing" Iron Man roast beef wrap (335 calories, 21.1 grams of protein) rolls lean roast beef, roasted red peppers, organic lettuce and blue cheese in a Lavosh wrap. And who wouldn't want to load up on "The Firm," a grilled chicken breast paired with portobello mushrooms, roasted red pepper and low-fat Monterey Jack on a bed of greens (just 241 calories)?
A smoothie bar and small number of breakfast items, like a fresh fruit bowl and veggie frittata, make it just a bit easier to bypass Dunkin' Donuts on your way to work. Delivery available.
