Recently relocated from Bucktown to this South Loop location, Kudo Sushi is serving its favorites to a whole new crowd. In its up-to-date interior, dark colors and sleek minimalism create a setting well-suited for any occasion, from a first-date dinner to a quick lunch break. There's no clutter here, just a few personalized touches like the origami utensil holders, white paper flowers and branches that adorn the walls.
If you're looking to impress your date with your superior chopstick coordination, you'll find candlelight and dim lighting in the evening to help you set the mood. Most things on the menu are reasonably priced (for instance, two pieces of crab roll are just $6) and the sushi is really worth it, but the cha soba noodles can be a bit bland. So order a sushi combo plate that the both of you can enjoy together. Don't forget the wine.
