Po'boy sandwiches, gumbo and jambalaya – just some of the easy, breezy Cajun delights you can pick up at Lagniappe Creole Cajun Joynt's Riverwalk location. Open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Riverwalk passersby can find Bayou bites and a few extra, classy little touches.
Along with Lagniappe's well-known wings and waffles, diners can munch on red beans and rice, chicken and seafood gumbo and authentic chicken, shrimp and sausage jambalaya. A po'boy lunch special complete with fries and sweet tea is also available, perfect for those seeking a fresh, al fresco noon-time treat. The restaurant also includes vegetarian options.
In addition to its grub, Lagniappe has a few special delights for those stopping by the cafe-style joint. Busy downtown workers crossing the bridge will be delighted to find classic French beignets and coffee, and those dining in can enjoy live music during their Big Easy meals.
The full-service café has a wait staff and can seat around 40-50 on the upper level and 80-100 diners on the bottom.
