Some eaters, like some people, are inventors, and don't like to be limited to what already is in use. MacKelly's was made for these folks. The Jackson Street deli is a builder's delight: Separate salad and sandwich bars provide a midday opportunity to get the creative juices flowing. The selections, from the romaine lettuce to the smoked turkey, are of remarkably high quality for what is essentially a high-end carryout buffet. For eaters who want the decisions made for them, pre-packaged sandwiches and salads, at no less the quality of their cousins from the buffet line, are also ready for purchase. Go healthy or deep-fried with your sandwich: A mini produce department has piles of apples, oranges, bananas and pears, while the potato chip rack contains enough Doritos and Cheetos to satisfy an 11-year-old.
