It's the most expensive steakhouse in town, but you probably won't find a better hunk of beef in the city. There's also an extensive wine list and excellent service. It hasn't changed much in the two decades that it's been open. Morton's is more upscale than most clubby steakhouses.
This national steakhouse may be high priced, but even the smallest side order will be enough to feed you. Regardless of what portion-size you tackle, Morton's serves up its tasty and sizable hunks of meat on white tableclothes in a darkened space complete with dim lighting and blackened wood furniture. It's a classy, cheery, comfortable kind of crowded. Don't miss the extensive wine list with a full bar and open kitchen. The trendy restaurant boasts induction into the "Fine Dining Hall of Fame" by Nation's Restaurant News and a "Best Steak House" award from New York Magazine.
