NYC Bagel Deli's system may seem simple: Walk up to the counter and order your breakfast or lunch. But with so many options - roughly 25 bagel sandwiches, including the eatery's popular take on the Reuben, and breakfast sandwiches served all day - ordering is anything but easy.
Diners can also opt for one of the hearty salads, served with bagel chips, or just nosh on a bagel with peanut butter and jelly, cream cheese or another spread. The soft, chewy bagels are, after all, the main attraction. Kettle-boiled - the way they're supposed to be made - they come in nearly a dozen flavors, ranging from plain to pumpernickel.
But the deli isn't just delish – it's convenient, too, especially if you work anywhere in the vicinity of the Willis (Sears) Tower. The friendly bagel bakers will serve up your order to go or, if you'd prefer to stay, the deli has plenty of seating to host the Loop lunch crowd - with a stellar view of the river from most tables.
