Though many dub this a great family restaurant, I think of it as great delivery restaurant, and that's OK, because it's darn good at being both. Thin-crust is the way to go here; it's excellent and well-priced. A simple large cheese is just $9.95, but you may want to consider topping it with homemade sausage.
A neighborhood favorite for 50 years, Pete's delivers beyond the neighborhood, and though it cautions that delivery can take 75 minutes, you can expect it much, much quicker. Delivery runs until midnight (1 a.m. on weekends) and you can request a bottle of Pinot Grigio or a six-pack of Peroni with your pie.
And if pizza isn't your thing, you'll find a menu packed with pasta (more than 20 kinds), ribs, salads, pork chops and sandwiches that run from a Philly cheese steak to a chicken pesto focaccia. Finish things off with the carnival-throwback fried dough.
Average cost: $10-$20
