If you've got a hankering for roasted chicken – either a lot of chicken, or a little – Pollo Express' poultry-focused menu should satisfy your craving. The restaurant offers half or whole roasted chickens in either a plain or a somewhat spicier adobado flavor.
Side dish offerings, which are served with the bird, include rice and beans and grilled onions. Pollo Express also offers salsa, guacamole and chips. But if you have a sweet tooth, take note – the eatery serves just one dessert: flan.
Although you can dine in at Pollo Express, many patrons opt to either pick-up their seasoned chicken or have it delivered. The restaurant won't drive it everywhere in the city – that adobado chicken doesn’t go much farther than Halsted and Western – but delivery is just $2 if you fall within Pollo Express’ boundaries.
Average cost: <$10
