If you are an upper-class lady who lunches or a businessman looking to impress a client, RL should be high on your list. Located next to the world's largest Ralph Lauren store, Ralph Lauren's first restaurant venture is
the place to mingle with Chicago's old-money elite and the occasional Hollywood celeb. You come here to see and be seen, especially if you choose to dine outside, so dress to impress.
In true Ralph Lauren style, the interior is all-American, with red mahogany wood, white tablecloths and blue walls. A small bar set with a black marble fireplace greets you at the door. Paintings in gold frames from Lauren's private collection adorn the walls, and the dining room features scattered tables surrounded by upholstered seating.
Want to be like the rest of the upscale clientele? Make sure to have a mimosa or scotch on the rocks in hand before you even select one of the delectable entrees. Try the lobster club with applewood bacon and truffle mayonnaise or the chicken hash with black truffles and poached eggs for lunch. Dinner doesn't disappoint; the pork tenderloin (served with a vegetable medley and red wine herb reduction) and the jumbo sea scallops will both tempt your palette. Armed with a full bar, RL will quench your thirst until midnight. Reservations are highly recommended.
