It's those greasy, post-bar cravings popping up in the wee small hours of the evening that keep this quintessential "sells it all"
Ukrainian Village sandwich shop rockin' and rollin' almost around the clock. Open super late (or super early for a good deal of us), Super Sub is your quick and economical fix to a growling late-night stomach.
With every deal under the sun – all printed on flashy neon-colored signs saturating the walls of the tiny sub outpost – you're sure to get a meal for under $7. Most deals come with fries and a can of soda, like the Italian beef, the gyro cheeseburger or the chopped steak burger, all priced just over $5. The menu offers a boatload of chicken (wings, strips, nuggets and any other part you can consume), jumbo burgers, foot-long polishes, seafood (catfish, perch, fish nuggets and a shrimp basket), and subs of all sorts.
There are even some breakfast picks like egg sandwiches and grilled cheese that are easily paid for in pocket change. And, with an assortment of cheap sides and all things fried (mushrooms, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, pizza puffs), chances are you’ll find yourself walking out with two bags too many. Extras are always a good idea at the time, right?
The restaurant itself is tiny, and although there are four colorful booths, you're probably there to grab your food and dash. But never fear; the staff behind the counter works at the speed of light to have you fed, home and crashing into bed before the sun comes up.
Average cost: <$10
