Stately oak trees in a traditional country club atmosphere is the style at Oak Meadows. Formerly the old Elmhurst Country Club, Oak Meadows preserves the feel and experience of a private course in the good old days. The first four three holes and six of finishing holes wind their way through huge stands of mature oaks and often make life difficult with heavily sloped greens. The middle holes are more open and offer some relief to errant tee shots. The par 4 18th hole is one of the best finishingholes around at 445 yards. It is said Ben Hogan still holds the course record. No round would be complete at Oak Meadows without a visit to the Oak Street Grill, the on-site restaurant that draws in the working lunch crowds because of it excellent reputation.
