Immaculately groomed Orchard Valley, a Fox Valley Park District gem, ranks as one of the top public courses in greater Chicagoland. Renowned course architect Ken Kavanaugh has designed a championship venue that measures 6,745 yards from the tips with three additional tee choices for the daily fee golfer. Each hole takes on an individual flavor that, taken in sum, demands a wide variety of shot-making skills with all the clubs in your bag. The par 4, 10th is an excellent risk/reward challenge in which a straight tee shot can place a ball within chipping distance, or condemn one to a complex of catch-all bunkers. The par 4, 18th is as good a finishing hole as any greater Chicagoland course. A testy, second shot must flirt with watery disaster on the right and a bunker to the left. At the 19th hole, you can enjoy your favorite beverage from the veranda overlooking the dramatic 18th green. Host for the 1996 Illinois Open Championship.
