Picture this! Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company is 25 years young. The theatre's 33 ensemble members have been immortalized in picture form and will be in display in the theatre's gallery at 1650 N. Halsted until March 25.

Steppenwolf 25 Skrebneski is a series of photographs by acclaimed fashion photographer Victor Skrebneski. Taken between August 1999 and April 2000, the photographs are meant to celebrate "25 years of extraordinary ensemble collaboration and achievement." The exhibit was housed at Chicago's Water Tower from September 16 through December 31, 2000 and will move into the Steppenwolf Gallery on February 2 and remain there for the entire performance run of David Copperfield. The exhibition will kick off with a free reception on February 2 from 5:30 - 7:30.

Skrebneski may be best known for his Chicago Film Festival photographs, but his career is widespread. He is credited for having discovered Cindy Crawford, and his photographs have been featured in distinguished locations such as the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, New York's Museum of Modern Art, and the Los Angeles County Museum.

In addition to being on display at the theatre, the photographs are published in the book Steppenwolf at 25: A Photographic Celebration of an Actor's Theater, Photographs by Victor Skrebneski. In addition to the photographs, the book also features production photographs and essays by Sam Shepard, Kurt Vonnegut, Don DeLillo, among others.

Admission to the exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information, call (312) 335-1650.
