Back on March 22, 1972, the Senate passed the ERA. A Nixon commission wanted marijuana to be legal. The Supreme Court said “unmarried people” had the right to buy contraceptives. And Gabi, a young punk rocker, was looking to cash in on the big day with a Liberation Celebration at a neighborhood club. In this show, plans go haywire. Gabi forges new friendships, finds her voice, and discovers what it means to be a rebel. She shakes up her life to join the fight over rights -- if only she knew, equality never happens.
