NOW CLOSED...Formerly: Boxer Rebellion Ensemble has taken over the Factory Theater's old home. They company produces its own works, in addition to renting out the space to other companies. The Boxer Rebellion Theatre Company is a professional, multi-ethnic, cutting edge ensemble that challenges the typical standards and norms of conventional theater. Boxer was founded in 1998 as a not-for-profit, Theater Company located in Rogers Park. Its main purpose is to produce new and undiscovered works that address relevant social issues for the Chicago Theater community. Boxer Rebellion strives to move beyond just the act of producing theatre but to create community with the subject of plays and social outreach programs. Boxer continues to work with exciting organizations including the United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago, National Association of Social Workers and several other prominent social institutions. The Boxer Rebellion works for nothing less than excellence, making it a prominent name in Chicago’s booming North side theater district.
