---- This off-the-beaten path restaurant/theater venue offers American contemporary fare downstairs and everything from comedy and one-act plays to spoken word upstairs.
The 50-seat theater, outfitted in antique wooden church seats and parquet floors, is BYOB and offers something for everyone, every night of the week. Some shows are open-run and others run for a few days to weeks at a time. Frankie J's hosts an open mic night every Wednesday that features monologists, storytellers, poets, stand-up comics and musicians. If you're interested in going to the theater, your best bet is to call first to see what's going on or check out their website at www.frankiejs.com.
Very rarely will you find a great theater and even greater food under one roof. Frankie's menu offers the ultimate in comfort food like ribs, porterhouse and NY strip steaks and something they call the "Daily Pork Extravaganza." If you're not of the pork or steak persuasion, Frankie J's serves scrumptious seafood dishes, rich pasta dishes and even tasty vegetarian/vegan dishes.
A few extras: Restaurant is also BYOB, and dinner reservations are accepted. Check the website for specials, discounts and some interesting background/history on the owner and the space. Also, Frankie J's now DELIVERS!
