The $18 million North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie opened in 1996 to serve as a venue for fine arts presentations, theatrical productions, educational and community outreach programs and business conferences. The Center is home to a 839-seat main concert hall, the 340-seat thrust stage/convention room house are both named after and managed by
Centre East, the Northlight Theatre and the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra. There is also rehearsal space available.
The Center is located across from the Old Orchard Shopping Center. Lots of free parking (over 1500 spaces) is available directly behind the theater in a parking garage. Valet service is also available.
